Welcome to The Retreat at Water’s Edge by Cabin Collective BB – A cozy 3 bedroom cabin on the banks of a stocked pond. Seclusion and privacy as the last house on the street without sacrificing the convenience of being minutes from the restaurants and activities of Hochatown.

Come with family or friends to enjoy one of the few Broken Bow cabins actually on the water!

✴ The interior features 20′ vaulted ceilings with two walls of windows (east facing for sunrises and west-facing for sunsets) and a stone fireplace. SMART TV with Direct TV cable is available for guests’ enjoyment.

✴ Our well-appointed kitchen and dining area provide the perfect space whether you’re sipping wine or cooking a hearty breakfast before a day of adventure. Gather around the corner dining area, which seats 6 guests (with additional seating for 3 in the kitchen bar), dine on the outdoor dining table, or savor a morning coffee. The dining table is conveniently nestled across the kitchen, allowing you to serve and enjoy those tasty meals without missing a moment of fun!

✴ There are two master suites with king-sized beds, both with small private decks perfect for morning coffee. One of the master bathrooms has a large soaking tub and huge shower with double heads. The third bedroom (bunk room) can sleep up to 6 (2 twins + 1 full triple bunks and sofa sleeper) and is ideal for kids with an arcade console of over 400 old-school games.
MASTER KING Suite: King Bed, Nightstands, Dresser, Ensuite Bathroom with Soaker Tub and Walk in Shower.
GUEST KING Suite: King Bed, Nightstands, Dresser
BUNK ROOM: Twin over Twin over Full + Twin Trundle Bed The Guest King and Bunk Room shared a bathroom.
All bedrooms offer a similar set of amenities: ✔ Pillows, Linens, and Sheets ✔ Smart TVs ✔ Room Darkening Curtains The Bunk Room doubles as a game room with an old school arcade (400 games) and a foosball table.

✴ With an expansive deck facing the pond – the outdoor space is a true haven for fun and relaxation. Guests can step outside to enjoy the beautiful river view. Enjoy peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee in our outdoor oasis. ✔ Outdoor Sofa ✔ Outdoor Dining – Dining set for 6 ✔ Propane Grill ✔ Hot Tub Just a few steps towards the pond, you will find the firepit area surrounded by string lights. We provide 2 complimentary kayaks for guests use. ✴ Pet Policy, if approved ✴ We charge a $150 pet fee per stay for up to two pets. An additional fee of $50 per night per pet applies for any pets beyond the two-pet maximum. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces are turned off during the summer months (May 1- Sep 30).

ACCESS: The front door is equipped with an electronic smart lock keypad & a private entrance. A unique door code will be sent at least 48 hours prior to check-in.
USE OF SECURITY CAMERAS: Renters understand and accept that the property is protected with outside security cameras. These cameras are used to protect the property and our guests from potential break-ins and theft, We have 1 camera by the front door, 1 by the back door that are ON and recording 24/7. There are NO cameras inside the house.
LIABILITY NOTICE: This rental cabin is privately owned. A security deposit and renter agreement is required for guests who book Rivers Edge Retreat.
CRITTERS: We have a regular pest control company that maintains the grounds. As we are located in a rural area, please note that bugs may be present on the property.
NATIVE PLANTS AND ANIMALS: This cabin is located in a rural part of town. As such it is important for potential guests to understand before making a reservation that mother nature and her loving family of flora and fauna may make their presence known including snakes, lizards, deer, dogs, bears, raccoons, spiders, ladybugs, wasps, bees, rabbits, excessive pollen, poison ivy/oak, chiggers, beetles, field mice, ants, cockroaches, squirrels, opossums, flies, walking sticks, coyotes, moths, and butterflies, just to name a few. And, although, the cabin is on strict pest control and cleaning regimen our native flora and fauna may find a way to join you since you are visiting their habitat. We have installed an animal deterrent outside the deck to prevent them from coming close to the cabin, but cannot guarantee the possibility 100%. We appreciate your understanding!

			First off, Scott was very responsive. When we arrived we noticed there were no paddles for the canoes, which he quickly provided. No working blender, no wine glasses, (he later brought) no mixer to cook Thanksgiving meal with. The place was very dusty so could use a deeper clean between guests. There were issues with the fireplaces periodically malfunctioning. My kids and husband fished for 3 solid days and did not catch one fish and we talked with the neighbors and no fish were caught. This was one of the main reasons we chose this cabin. Looks like they need to restock this pond. 



Would be great to have cornhole out back or some outdoor games.

			We loved every minute at Scott's cabin! Very nice hosts and a perfect place to stay. We enjoyed fishing, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows on the fire pit, cooking out, fishing, the hot tub, playing games, big family meals, and relaxing. One thing that really stood out - we went to see the 2024 total eclipse and I booked the cabin in 2022. I heard stories about how many cabin owners cancelled reservations and then bumped the price after places started selling out due to the eclipse. I kept watching our reservation and hoping we would get to keep it, and we did! I really appreciate that Scott kept our original booking and let us get away as a family to experience a once-in-a-lifetime event in such a beautiful, secluded location. The location is just minutes away from the state park, the lake, and trails which we took advantage of.  It is also conveniently located (15 minute drive) to a grocery store and Walmart which enabled us to pack fewer items and stock up on food once we arrived.
